By creating an account or using CivicPulse, you agree to follow these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our app.

2. Purpose of the Platform

CivicPulse allows users to share posts and reports within their community. The system uses AI-powered detection to classify posts as Emergency, Non-Emergency, or Unclear to help moderators and barangay officials respond faster.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to use the platform responsibly and not to:

• Post false, misleading, or illegal information
• Harass, impersonate, or spread misinformation about others
• Misuse AI features or interfere with app operations
• Post spam, threats, or harmful content
• Impersonate emergency responders or barangay officials

You must be at least 13 years old to use CivicPulse.

4. Content Moderation and AI Processing

• All posts are analyzed automatically using AI systems eg. Deepseek v3.
• Human moderators and barangay officials may review posts that are flagged as false, harmful, or inappropriate.
• While AI helps identify potential emergencies, it may not always be accurate, and human moderators make the final decision.

5. Emergency Reporting

CivicPulse helps communities share emergency information quickly, but it does not replace official emergency services.

When reporting emergencies:

• Provide accurate details and location
• Avoid false or prank reports
• Always contact official emergency hotlines first in life-threatening situations

6. Intellectual Property

All app design, code, and AI systems belong to the CivicPulse developers.

You retain ownership of the content you post but grant CivicPulse a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and analyze your content for moderation, safety, and research purposes.

7. Limitation of Liability

CivicPulse is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, CivicPulse and its developers are not responsible for any loss, damage, or delay caused by use of the platform or AI misclassification.

8. Account Suspension

We may suspend or delete your account if you violate these terms, share harmful content, or disrupt community safety.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines, without regard to conflict of law rules.

10. Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Major changes will be announced in the app. Continued use of CivicPulse means you accept the updated Terms.
